Fred Stein

Fred is the Executive Producer for The Creative Group.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Fred received a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications from Temple University. He then worked as a general assignment reporter and ultimately editor of a newspaper chain in Pennsylvania before being named to a legislative assistant post in Philadelphia City Council. Fred was appointed as assistant managing director of the City of Philadelphia in 1981 to plan and implement the 300th anniversary of the City. This was his first immersion into event planning where he parlayed a $25,000 appropriation into $3 million in private sponsorship and public funding to create 100 events in a single calendar year.

In 1983, Fred presented a proposal to The National Park Service in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. The excitement following the successful execution of this event led to his forming of The Creative Group, Inc.

Since then, Fred has continually raised the bar in all aspects of the event production business. His attention to details, and limitless creative boundaries allow him to design and implement production plans for events around the globe.
